The "Gulf of Naples Independent Film Festival" is an event intended to serve as an international showcase for films of various types and gender, in order to promote and spread the art, auteur and experimental films that are not released in cinemas playhouses, to foster dialogue between different experiences and to create a meeting point for the support of cinema culture.

Rules & Terms

Films from all nations will be considered only if they have:

• English and Italian subtitles
• Feature Films with a minimum length of 60 minutes 
• Short Films with maximum lenght of 30 minutes
• Feature Documentary with a minimum lengh of 40 minutes
• Short Documentary whit maximum length of 30 minutes
• Animation Films of any lenght
• Webseries with at least 3 episodes
• Videoclip  of any lenght
• Script of screenplays unproduced (short or feature film, TV Series, Web Series, pilot episodes)

Works that have already been screened at other festivals or distributed over the internet will also be accepted.

The authors of the selected films must provide within 7 days of the communication:

• The projection file of the film and trailer in one of the following formats: mov, H264, mpeg4 in FullHD or 4K. Other formats must be approved by the Festival's Programming Office.
• Synopsis of the film in English and Italian.
• Biography of the director in English and Italian (min 400/max 500 characters, spaces included).
• Director's filmography (list of titles and years of production) in English and Italian.
• Images of the film in JPEG format (for promotion on the web); Each photo must be labeled with the title of the film and a number (e.g. film_title1.jpg; film_title2.jpg). The photos will be published on the Festival website and on the Festival catalogue.

For the screenings of the films in competition, which are free for the festival audience, no requests for rental costs or other types of charges will be considered.

Registration to the festival and sending of the material constitutes acceptance of the regulation in all its points

For the experience gained in the different editions, we recommend, in the interest of the participants, that films in Italian have English subtitles and English-language films have Italian subtitles.

For films in other languages, the subtitles will be in Italian and English, thus giving the international jury the opportunity to choose the language they prefer and give a fair evaluation to the work by interpreting the dialogues correctly.

Il "Gulf of Naples Independent Film Festival" è un evento destinato a fungere da vetrina internazionale per film di vario genere e genere, al fine di promuovere e diffondere i film d'arte, d'autore e sperimentali che non vengono distribuiti nei teatri cinematografici, favorire il dialogo tra esperienze diverse e creare un punto di incontro per il sostegno della cultura cinematografica.

Regolamento

I film di tutte le nazioni saranno presi in considerazione se hanno:

• Sottotitoli in inglese e italiano
• lungometraggi con una durata minima di 60 minuti 
• cortometraggi con una durata max di 30 minuti 
• documentari lunghi con una durata minima di 40 minuti
• documentari brevi con una durata max di 30 minuti
• film d'animazione di qualsiasi durata
• Webseries con almeno 3 puntate
• Videoclip di qualsiasi durata
• Sceneggiature non prodotte (Corto o Lungometraggi, Serie TV, WebSeries, episodi pilota)

Saranno accettate anche opere che sono già state proiettate in altri festival o distribuite su Internet.

Gli autori dei film selezionati dovranno fornire entro 7gg. dalla comunicazione:

• il file di proiezione del film e del trailer in uno seguenti formati: mov, h264, mpeg4 in FullHD o 4k. Altri formati devono essere approvati dall'Ufficio Programmazione del Festival.
• Sinossi del film in inglese e italiano.
• Biografia del regista in inglese e italiano (min 400/max 500 caratteri, spazi inclusi).
• Filmografia del regista (elenco dei titoli e degli anni di produzione) in inglese e italiano.
• Documentazione fotografica con autorizzazione alla pubblicazione delle immagini del film in formato JPEG (per la promozione sul web); Ogni foto deve essere etichettata con il titolo del film e un numero (ad esempio film_title1.jpg; film_title2.jpg).  Le foto saranno pubblicate sul sito e sul catalogo del Festival.

Per le proiezioni dei film in concorso, che sono gratuite per il pubblico del festival, non saranno prese in considerazione richieste di costi di noleggio nè altri tipi di oneri.

L'iscrizione al festival e l'invio del materiale costituisce l'accettazione del regolamento in tutti i suoi punti.

Per l'esperienza maturata nelle diverse edizioni, consigliamo, nell'interesse dei partecipanti, che i film in lingua italiana abbiano i sottotitoli in lingua inglese ed i film in lingua inglese i sottotitoli in lingua italiana.

Per i film in altre lingue i sottotitoli dovranno essere in lingua italiana ed in lingua inglese, dando così modo alla la giuria internazionale di scegliere la lingua che preferisce e dare una giusta valutazione all’opera interpretando i dialoghi in modo corretto.
